A dragonfly hovers outside my second-story balcony then drifts off on a current of warm air that rattles palm fronds and flutters the gauzy curtains at the open double doors behind me. I shift the pillows on the balcony settee and look down the gentle slope towards the ocean. Beyond the deep green vegetation and red tiled roofs of Parrot Cay I can see three distinct shades of blue: pale tourmaline edging into turquoise inside the reef, lapis lazuli on the other side of the white line of surf, and over it all a huge sky the color of blue cotton candy.
